Devon Lewis-Buchanan, MSW
Founder & Chief Executive Officer/Board Vice-Chair

Once a collegiate athlete and NFL-prospect Devon was raised in West Palm Beach, FL. Having received a scholarship to play football and attend The University of Louisiana-Lafayette and upon graduating with a degree in Behavioral Science, he was granted an opportunity to try-out for the Oakland Raiders, pursuing a life-long dream of playing in the National Football League. When that plan was cut short, he was forced to ask himself “What’s next”?

Transitioning away from sports and no longer identifying as an athlete was a struggle that Devon credits to guiding his path to social work. After working with youth in the foster care system Devon’s passion led him to begin a non-profit organization, Inspire Youths Services, Inc. addresses access to mental health in underserved communities. Realizing the need for more black male clinicians Devon would obtain his master’s degree from Barry University School of Social Work.

Devon is a loving father to his son Samson Marley who is a member of the Autism Spectrum community. Devon serves on several boards, Bright Futures Academy, Healthier Neighbors Steering Committee, and the BeWell Palm Beach County Stewardship Council.
