Originally born in Atlanta, GA, Sheena is a long-term resident of Gainesville where she moved after aging out of the Florida foster care system. Through her experiences, she discovered a passion for helping others and for the last nine years, has provided a voice to our most vulnerable youth, as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem. Along with being a mother, she maintains a positive presence in the schools and community through volunteering and mentoring. Sheena is also a board member for the Guardian Foundation, an ambassador for Gainesville Black Professionals, a local artist, and works as a case manager for at-risk youth.
Sheena holds a BS from Florida International University and is currently pursuing her MSW. With a strong desire to aid others in their personal and professional growth, Sheena recently founded 3i Speaks, LLC —a company dedicated to igniting passion, inspiring creativity and instilling purpose through consulting, speaking and youth mentoring. She is an empowerment and life-skills coach who believes in the power of the human connection. Through her journey, she attributes her faith in God and a personal quote as the guiding forces in her success.
“The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.” -Mark Twain
